History of the company
Since its creation LHERITIER has continually adapted to evolve with the requirements of its customers.
1981 : Creation of LHESA Electronics.
Mr Jean-Claude ROBIN, a fervent electronics engineer, leaves his job as Technical Director at SOFRETEC to make his own cameras.
Alone at first, his is quickly assisted by competent technicians some of whom are still with the company to this day.
1981 - 1989 : A unique strategy
ADAPT to the customer’s needs : BE AS REACTIVE AS POSSIBLE in terms of INNOVATION.
LHESA Electronics designs and makes products having a scientific (cameras and acquisition systems for Electronic Microscopy) or industrial (cameras for applications in highly restricted environments such as nuclear, under water, confined spaces…) vocation.
FIRST CONTACT FOR THE DEFENCE IN 1988 : a study for terrestrial high-speed video.
1989 : LHESA Electronics joins LHERITIER
The activity extends towards whole systems.
LHERITIER LHESA produces powerful and effective industrial and medical radiology systems combining X-ray technology.
The medical sector becomes a new privileged radius of action.
1991 : LHERITIER products interest the Defence
The company wins its first Naval contract, an underwater high-speed video system with recording of 400 images per second. Successfully carried out, this contract will confirm the company’s reputation in this domain and will lead to other projects for the Defence
1996 : creation of LHERITIER S.A.S.
LHESA Electronics & LHERITIER merge to create LHERITIER S.A.S. LHESA is transformed into the « Cameras Division » of this new company.
The new company gains NF EN ISO 9002 (1994) and EN 46002 (Medical Devices) certification.
It develops complete digitalisation systems for ophthalmology (Digitalized retinography systems, digitalisation of slit lamps, SLO, surgical microscopes...) and for radiology (digitalisation of conventional radiology tables on light intensifiers).
1996 - 2006 : The pursuit of diversification
The company obtains its accreditation according to the new norms in effect : NF EN ISO 13488 (2001) certification obtained in 2004, and NF EN ISO 9001 (2000) and NF EN ISO 13485 (2004) certifications obtained at the end of 2005.
The technologies developed will be adapted from one field to another, with very diverse applications.
Defence and security play an increasingly important role in the activity.
LHERITIER is recognised as an international specialist of low light level cameras and develops the patented Day/Night camera.
2006 : transfer of the company to the ALCEN group
The founder transfers the company to the
group.
enters the domain of aeronautics with a contract for “in-flight refuelling” cameras and “in-flight, in-hold cargo surveillance” cameras.
From 2007 to 2010, Régis COLLA (EMBA, HEC) is CEO of
before going on to become the Managing Director of NAOMARQ, a sister company belonging to the
group.
